Paramount+ releases the trailer for the 3D anime series ‘Rugrats’

Nickelodeon and Paramount+ have dropped the trailer for their upcoming Rugrats series in 3D form. The series features fan-favourite characters Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, Lil, Susie, and Angelica.

In an official press release, the president of Nickelodeon Animation Ramsey Naito said, “Rugrats is one of the biggest and most influential TV hits among kids and parents ever, and we can’t wait for the all-new series to debut on Paramount+.”

The minute-long trailer depicts the re-imagined 3D versions of Tommy Pickles and his team on their adventurous travel where they fight with a dinosaur and it will be interesting to watch these babies exploring the new world.

The one-hour premiere episode Second Time Around will show Tommy leading the babies on a daring adventure to help Chuckie after his big attempt to be brave goes wrong.

Rugrats is a 2D cartoon that first premiered in 1991, created by Arlene Klasky, Gabor Csupo, and Paul Germain. It has become one of the most favourite cartoons among the kids which ran successfully for nine seasons over 13 years.

The all-new Rugrats is based on the old iconic series with Eryk Casemiro and Kate Boutilier serving as the executive producers, Dave Pressler and Casey Leonard as co-executive producers along with Rachel Lipman as co-producer and Kellie Smith as line producer. Charlie Adler is the voice director. Production is supervised by Nickelodeon’s current series animation senior manager Mollie Freilich.

Reprising their roles from the original series are E.G. Daily (Tommy Pickles), Nancy Cartwright (Chuckie Finster), Cheryl Chase (Angelica Pickles), Cree Summer (Susie Carmichael), and Kath Soucie (Phil and Lil DeVille). The original voice cast is joined by new voices, including Ashley Rae Spillers and Tommy Dewey (Tommy’s parents, Didi and Stu Pickles); Tony Hale (Chuckie’s father, Chas Finster); Natalie Morales, (Phil and Lil’s mother, Betty DeVille); Anna Chlumsky and Timothy Simons (Angelica’s parents, Charlotte and Drew Pickles); Nicole Byer and Omar Miller (Susie’s parents, Lucy and Randy Carmichael); and Michael McKean (Grandpa Lou Pickles).

Nickelodeon’s Rugrats series will debut on 27 May in Paramount+. The first set of episodes will be available to stream at once with more episodes rolling out later.
