Marvel Studios is gearing up for Captain America 4 with head writer and creator of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Malcolm Spellman, penning the script of the fourth instalment.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Spellman will co-write the script with Dalan Musson, a staff writer on Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Marvel is yet to release any official confirmation about the cast. Earlier, Chris Evans played the role of Captain America through Steve Rogers’ character in all three films but at the end of Avengers: Endgame, Evan retired and handed his shield to Sam Wilson. Now the question arises, who will carry the shield forward.
Captain America 4 is more likely to feature the story of Sam Wilson, played by actor Anthony Mackie, and the current wielder of the shield.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which also stars Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/the Winter Soldier, has earned strong critical and fan reactions.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier are the clashing duos who team up for the global adventure and to test their survival skills. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, with six episodes, comes to end with Sam Wilson wearing a new fancy costume and wielding Steve Rogers ‘shield’, and flying into the finale as ‘Falcon’, the new Captain America. Sam Wilson easily defeats the opponents and inspires the evil government bureaucrats with his single inspirational speech.
So far no director is attached, and Evans’ involvement/return remains unconfirmed. Marvel remains tight-lipped about the same.
Spellman was previously a writer/co-executive producer on Fox’s Empire and acted as a consulting producer on crime drama Truth Be Told before getting the chance to take the lead on Falcon.
