Director of Television Division of Reed MIDEM, Laurine Garaude announced that world’s biggest content market, Mipcom and MipJunior, will be held as planned before. She also informed that along with the physical market, there will also be an online platform for the same.
During an interview with WorldScreen, Laurine Garaude revealed that they would be moving forward with the Mipcom and MipJunior as scheduled before. However, they will also be providing an online portal for companies of the territories who cannot attend the physical market.
“We know that some people in certain territories may not be able to attend the physical(market), we have created Mipcom Online Plus to enrich the Mipcom experience for everybody, and to provide the ability for those who cannot travel the access of Mipcom as well”, said Garaude.
Garaude also revealed that the safety and security of the physical exhibitions is their utmost priority. “It’s our mission to support the industry into getting back to business. In this difficult times, it’s our priority to get people back to it, maybe in a ‘new normal’, but the most important thing is to deliver a very safe event, physical as well as the quality event and a program to meet the moment”, she added.
To ensure the norms of social distancing and avoid congestion, participants will be getting print-at-home badges. “ This year we’re introducing a Print-at-Home badge so hopefully people will print their own badges at home. For those who can’t, we will have registrations but there will be physical distancing, we will be marking everything clearly, as it must be,” she said.

MipJunior, world’s leading kids’ entertainment industry event will be held from October 10th to 11th 2020 and Mipcom, the world’s largest entertainment content market, will be held from October 12th to 15th 2020 at Cannes, France.
