Lab Zero Games’ popular action-RPG/platformer title Indivisible is getting the animated series adaptation treatment, reportedly for NBCUniversal’s newly launched streaming platform, Peacock.
According to Deadline, the game is being developed into a series to be shown on NBC’s new Peacock streaming service. It’ll be developed by Meg LeFauve and Jonathan Fernandez, who will write and executive produce the show together in tandem with Dj2 Entertainment and Legendary Television.
Indivisible (published by 505 Games for Switch, PS4, Xbox One and Steam) revolves around Ajna, a fearless girl with a rebellious streak. Raised by her father on the outskirts of their rural town, her life is thrown into chaos when her home is attacked, and a mysterious power awakens within her.
The game’s huge fantasy world, characters and aesthetic design are inspired by various cultures and mythologies. Throughout Ajna’s quest, she encounters “Incarnations”: people whom she can absorb and manifest to fight alongside her. By uniting people from faraway lands, Ajna learns about herself, the world she inhabits and, most importantly, how to save it.
Indivisible is not the only video game adaptation dJ2 Entertainment is currently working on. The production company is also developing the Disco Elysium video game into a television series.
“Disco Elysium is a phenomenal property with an expansive world and unlimited potential,” dJ2 Entertainment’s Dmitri M. Johnson said in a statement. “The dj2 team is truly thrilled about this extraordinary opportunity to be part of it all.”
LeFauve’s other credits include The Good Dinosaur and Captain Marvel, while Fernandez worked on Star Trek: Enterprise.
